As you probably know, most of the web cameras have certain weaknesses. Besides the fact they can only focus on near objects, their zooming capabilities are often humble ones. Nevertheless, that doesn't seem to be case with the device you're about to see as follows, namely Brando's USB web camera with built-in telescope, which has the unique capability to zoom and focus distant objects when taking instant photos.

This is possible due to the fact that this particular webcam features a telescope to magnify distant views, lens rotation for adjusting clear images and even a mini tripod for a better positioning of the camera.

The device is built around a 0.48-megapixel CMOS sensor (not particularly impressive), which supports a maximum 800 x 600 pixels resolution. Users can also record videos in pretty OK conditions (up to 30fps at 320x240, up to 15fps at 640x480), in a 24-bit digital video format.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that the focus is adjustable (50 mm to infinity) via the manual ring, and the webcam has also been equipped with the already “classical” snapshot button, as well as with auto white balance and auto electronic exposure systems. Much as all of the other products of this type, it connects to a host computer (running Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP) via an USB 2.0 interface, which provides quite enough bandwidth for this particular device's requirements.

The camera is also pretty portable (80x32x33mm), while the integrated telescope sports some convenient dimensions, of 69 x 28 x 33 mm, meaning it could become your business trip companion.

When you buy this device you also get the mini tripod, the driver CD and a special cloth. All for 30 bucks!
